Truck Crash on Gateway Motorway Leaves Cars Showered in Plaster Debris

Cars beneath a Gateway Motorway bridge at Eagle Farm were showered with plasterboard debris on Monday, August 20, after a truck travelling on the bridge crashed and lost its load.In this video, filmed by Joe Welch, the aftermath of the crash below the bridge on Lavarack Avenue can be seen, with plaster and debris strewn across the lanes and on top of cars.Welch said he had been in a nearby office when he heard the crash and ran out.A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said the truck had been travelling southbound along the motorway when it hit a concrete barrier on the side of the road, The Courier-Mail reported.Queensland Police tweeted southbound lanes had debris and some lanes were closed.
