  Report: Phillips wants to stay as DC

  Wade Phillips didn't get the head coaching job with the Texans. While speaking with the Houston Chronicle's Dale Robertson said he hasn't had any contact with new head coach Bill O'Brien yet but was told by GM Rick Smith that all the assistant coaches will have a chance to meet and interview for jobs under O'Brien. Phillips is hoping to be on that staff in his defensive coordinator role even though he isn't sure he'll be given that chance.

  Dale Robertson doesn't mince words. The tea party spokesperson and head of Teaparty.org in Houston issued a strong statement this week warning state GOP leaders that if they didn't support strongly conservative candidates, their jobs were at risk.   Most early Ford show cars were sent to be destroyed after serving their duty, but this special car, a one-off Thunderbird called the "Italien" managed to escape the crusher. The story goes that this special Thunderbird was displayed at the 1964 New York World's Fair (the one and only time it was shown), and was destined to be destroyed after the show. Instead, it was sold to actor Dale Robertson, and later in 1986 sold to Ford collector Don Chambers.
