Jonathan Krisel, co-creator of the popular sketch comedy TV series “Portlandia,” is reportedly in talks to direct the live-action sequel of “Detective Pikachu” for mass media company Legendary Entertainment. “Detective Pikachu" is based on the Nintendo 3DS game of the same name and tells the story of a crime-solving Pikachu (Reynolds) and a budding Pokémon trainer named Tim (Smith) who investigate a conspiracy and attempt to learn more about Tim’s missing father.
