You Can Get a Moto G for $100 Right Now

By all accounts, the Moto G is a really good phone for a really great price — and that price just got better. Starting Friday, U.S. Cellular is offering Motorola’s beloved budget smartphone for a penny shy of $100, a discount of nearly $90 off of the Android phone’s already crazy-cheap price.

That gets you a snappy processor, a crisp 4.5-inch screen, a decent 8 GB of storage and the latest version of Android. Oh, and, best of all, you get all of that without committing to a two-year contract.

This isn’t paying $99 for a phone up front and then paying off the rest of the device over the life of a two-year deal. This is $99 for the phone, period.

There’s always a catch, of course. Thing is, despite being off contract, the phone isn’t actually unlocked. So, while you don’t have to commit yourself to two years of it, you’ve still got to spend some time on U.S. Cellular if you want to do little things like make phone calls and use wireless data. The Moto G operates only on U.S. Cellular’s CDMA network.

Still, $100 is a pretty tough deal to pass up, if you’re not already married to your current carrier.
