Xbox Project Scorpio Product Page Now Live

Project Scorpio won't be out until fall 2017, which should be more than enough time for high-end gamers to save up for its "premium" price tag.

Microsoft’s Xbox Project Scorpio is still far from being released, but it looks the company is already on the final stages of doing so. Earlier today, the Project Scorpio product page went live on the Microsoft Store.

The Project Scorpio product page on the Microsoft Store doesn’t allow users to preorder the upcoming console. Instead, users will be able to sign up to get a notification once its available.

Microsoft also didn’t give out a release date on the page only listing “Holiday 2017” as a release window. The page has three bullet points highlighting the main features of Project Scorpio.

  • The most powerful console ever with 6 teraflops of graphical processing power

  • The first and only console to enable true 4K gaming and high-fidelity virtual reality

  • Compatible with all Xbox One games and accessories

Although the newly activated product page for Project Scorpio doesn’t really give out any new information about the upcoming console, it does seem like Microsoft’s plans are on schedule.

Xbox boss Phil Spencer hinted earlier this month that Microsoft might give out more details on Project Scorpio just before E3 2017. Microsoft later confirmed that it will have a pre-show press conference at the Galen Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 11, as pointed out by Game Rant. This year’s E3 is scheduled to take place in the Los Angeles Convention Center from June 13 until June 15.

One of the most talked about issues regarding Project Scorpio is its price. Spencer previously stated that it would carry a premium price tag. This means that it will certainly cost more than the $300 Xbox One S.

“We're going to come out on a price that we think is fair for the product that we build and the customers will tell us as they always do,” Spencer said. “I call it premium because I don't want people to get confused that somehow Scorpio is the thing that is going to take over the Xbox line.”
