It's a new month, which means new Xbox Game Pass games!
Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and the all-encompassing Xbox Game Pass Ultimate each provide numerous perks to subscribers, including unlimited access to the best Xbox Game Pass games and many more. It's often considered to be one of the greatest values in the video game industry, and Xbox is intent on driving that idea home with new additions to the services every single month.
Xbox Game Pass is available on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One consoles. PC Game Pass is available on Windows PCs. Xbox Cloud Gaming grants remote access to hundreds of titles on practically any device through streaming. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, as the name implies, is the quintessential subscription that includes all the aforementioned services, online multiplayer, exclusive perks, and EA Play access. With new games arriving all the time, it can be easy to lose track of new additions.
Here's every single game leaving the service, as well as all the new Xbox Game Pass games right now. If you want the complete list, be sure to bookmark our ultimate guide to every game on Xbox Game Pass. This list isn't as applicable to Xbox Game Pass Core and its curated library of Xbox games, but you can still keep up to date with all the titles available in the main Xbox Game Pass catalog.
Xbox Game Pass: Best new games this month
Say hi to the best recent Xbox Game Pass games. You'll rarely go wrong with the diverse selection of games on Xbox Game Pass, but there are always a handful of titles that stand above the rest — including, but not limited to, exceptional indie games, addictive multiplayer games, expansive AAA games, and Microsoft's first-party titles and projects. These are the best new games that have recently arrived on Xbox Game Pass that you shouldn't hesitate to play.
Another Crab's Treasure
Available: Apr. 25 — Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows PC, & Xbox Cloud Gaming
The Soulslike genre is mature, filled with many excellent games that have evolved over time to become better and better. Many of those games have seriously dark undertones, though, so what about players who want the challenge and gameplay of a Soulslike without the broody atmosphere? Enter Another Crab's Treasure, a delightful Soulslike with a ton of charm.
We reviewed Another Crab's Treasure, and praised it for its deep combat, great sense of humor, and focus on accessibility so that more people can enjoy the experience. There's even a setting to make combat considerably easier by giving your crab a gun (yes, really), a feature we don't often see in the Soulslike genre.
Another Crab's Treasure isn't a perfect Soulslike by any means, but its accessible gameplay and worldbuilding, plus its inclusion on every Xbox Game Pass platform, makes it a very easy recommendation to players of all ages and skill levels. It's simply fun, and can offer you a couple dozen hours of joy.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
Available: Apr. 25 — Xbox Series X|S Optimized & Windows PC via EA Play
This game should need no introduction. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is one of the best Star Wars games ever made, continuing the story began in Fallen Order with huge improvements to gameplay, combat, the open-world formula, and the narrative. There's a reason it was one of the most critically acclaimed video games of 2023, and one year later it's now available through Xbox Game Pass.
Well, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, to be precise. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is entering the EA Play vault on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC, so Ultimate subscribers will be able to access it while standard Xbox Game Pass subscribers will need to upgrade or buy the game. If you play online games, however, Ultimate is well worth paying a little extra for — and you'll get the entire EA Play catalog, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and exclusive perks and discounts to boot.
You can read our Star Wars Jedi: Survivor review for why this surprisingly personal adventure in Cal Kestis' life is one you shouldn't miss. I personally 100% the game, and while I had some thoughts about Kestis' weak ankles, I absolutely loved every hour I spent in this gorgeous galaxy.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes
Available: Apr. 23 — Xbox Series X|S Optimized, Xbox One, Windows PC, & Xbox Cloud Gaming
The latest great addition to the bustling JRPG genre, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes began its journey as a Kicstarter success story, and is now one of the best titles on Xbox Game Pass. It's a gorgeous, lengthy RPG adventure with seriously in-depth mechanics and your classic "the heroes need to save the world" story. It's unique in the genre in that there are actually dozens of playable characters to develop, though.
Hundred Heroes allows itself plenty of time to deepen its gameplay mechanics and introduce a multitude of fun (and sometimes quirky) mini-games, and while it can require a lot of micro-managing and the story is a little generic, JRPG fans will find a lot to love in this game. You can read our Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes review for why this flawed JRPG still manages to be one of the best in the genre.
Of course, it's also a day one addition to Xbox Game Pass and is available on every tier, so it's at least worth checking out to see if this particular JRPG may be up your alley.

Xbox Game Pass: All known upcoming launch games
Microsoft gives us updates on games heading to Xbox Game Pass a few weeks before those games become available, usually twice a month. However, Xbox and ID@Xbox events toss aside this expectation to announce a flurry of games that are hitting Xbox Game Pass day and date, meaning they're launching into the service when they land on Xbox platforms. That means day one access to all of these games for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, including some of the best upcoming Xbox games.
Many of these games are far enough out that they don't even have a release date, and we're not certain exactly which platforms they'll come to through Xbox Game Pass. Still, this list in our Xbox Game Pass guide will give you an idea of what to look out for in the future of Xbox Game Pass. We'll constantly update this list as we get new information about release dates, when games become available, and what platforms are getting them.
