There’s no question that Netgear’s Arlo brand is responsible for starting the cord-free security camera craze. Of course once something gets popular you know some serious competition will start flooding in, and that’s definitely the case in this increasingly congested space. For our money, the Blink XT Home Security Camera System is as good as it gets. These weatherproof indoor or outdoor cameras have all the main features you might find in an Arlo camera, but the batteries last for 2 years instead of 2 or 3 months, which is the case with Arlo.
