Even our president uses Vine.

A year ago Friday, Twitter’s video app Vine blessed us with its arrival. The app, for the uninitiated, allows users to record looping, six-second videos on their phones and post them in a public feed similar to Instagram’s or Facebook’s. While it was originally billed as a cool new way for people to share moments from their everyday life, it has blossomed into something a little different: a service that nurtures the imaginations of bored teens, emerging comedians and dedicated artists and pranksters everywhere.
