Twitter’s Periscope Live-Streaming App (Finally) Comes to Android

Just in time for you Google phone owners to live-stream your lunch this afternoon, Twitter has launched Periscope for Android.

Periscope lets you broadcast video from your smartphone, or watch live broadcasts on your phone or the Web. The microblogging service rolled out Periscope for iPhone this spring as a direct competitor to the similarly-functioning Meerkat app. And in tit-for-tat fashion, Twitter has now answered the recent Meerkat for Android release with today’s launch of Periscope on Google’s Play store.
