This robot is able to sew garments on its own

A company called Sewbo has developed a robot capable of sewing clothes.

The machine begins with pieces of precut fabric stiffened by a nontoxic polymer.

The rigidity of the material allows an arm equipped with a suction cup to feed the fabric to an electric sewing machine.

The finished garment is then rinsed in hot water to remove the stiffening agent.

For now, those working in the garment industry needn’t worry about being replaced by robots, although Sewbo is working to improve its technology to make it commercially applicable.
