The World Needs This Amazing Emoji Laptop Keyboard

Words are hard. There are just so many of them. Some even sound the same, but have different meanings! I mean, what is that?

That’s why we’ve replaced the written word with our own modern day reincarnation of ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs, otherwise known as emojis.

But typing emojis on your laptop keyboard is hard, too. It requires you to press two, sometimes even three keys to make just one smiling poo face. Luckily the folks at Disk Cactus have you covered with their new Emoji Keyboard.

Available for Apple’s Mac line (sorry, Windows fans) the Emoji Keyboard is a silicon cover that you lay over your existing keyboard. Once in place, you download and install the Emoji Keyboard program, and voila, you’ve cast off the shackles of letters and words in favor of pictures of pizza and smiley faces.

To switch between the Emoji Keyboard and a standard (lame) keyboard, you simply press the Caps Lock key. There are up to 150 emojis available with some accessible by holding a key and pressing the shift, control, or options keys. (Added bonus: No more Caps Lock key!)

Want to see The Emoji Keyboard in action? Check out Cactus Disk’s absolutely mind-blowing promo video below. (Warning: May cause flashbacks.)

Cactus Disk is currently seeking funding for The Emoji Keyboard via Kickstarter with an ultimate goal of $20,000 to produce at least 1,000 units. The keyboards themselves cost just $10.

We’re ordering 50.
