The Apple Watch Edition Will START at $10,000

The rumors were true: The most expensive version of the Apple Watch will cost $10,000 –– for the base model.

At an event in San Francisco on Monday, Tim Cook revealed the prices for the company’s upcoming Apple Watches, and they come in a pretty wide range. The Apple Watch will be available in three different versions, aimed at three different shoppers: The fitness-focused version of the Apple Watch, the Apple Watch Sport, will start at $349; the basic version of the Apple Watch will start at $549; and the Apple Watch Edition, the luxury version of the Apple Watch, will start at a whopping $10,000 and go up to $17,000, depending on the materials used.

The Edition, Cook said, would be available in limited quantities (and, one imagines, to a limited class of people.) There are 8 different Apple Watch Edition models, ranging from $10K to $17K.
