T-Mobile’s new promo lets customers send gifts to AT&T, Verizon subscribers

Last summer, T-Mobile introduced a new rewards program called T-Mobile Tuesdays. Every Tuesday, T-Mobile subscribers are able to take advantage of a new offer, from free pizzas to free Lyft rides. But next week is different. Next Tuesday, T-Mobile users will not only receive two free FandangoNOW movie rentals, two gas discounts from Shell and a free $15 Lyft ride — they’ll also be able to give those rewards away.

As T-Mobile explains on its website, the T-Mobile Tuesdays app will now allow users to gift select rewards, including the rewards on offer next week. Even better, T-Mobile subscribers can gift the rewards to AT&T or Verizon subscribers, if they so please. Just the latest way that the Uncarrier is rubbing it in.

“With the Un-carrier, the customer – and now even their family and friends – always get more. The other guys don’t even know how to give you something without asking for more – much less give you something you can share with family and friends,” said T-Mobile CEO John Legere in a press release this week. “Personally, I’m gifting one of my T-Mobile Tuesday gifts to Lowell and another to Randall to say ‘thank you’ for donating so many customers to T-Mobile for so many years.”

Lowell McAdam and Randall Stephenson are of course the CEOs of Verizon and AT&T, respectively. If Legere has the opportunity to take a shot at one or either of them, you better believe he’s going to take it.

The giftable T-Mobile rewards will be available on January 24th.
