Social Media Stampede: Zookeepers Re-creating 'Jurassic World' Scene

Jurassic World has taken over the planet. With the largest opening weekend in history, the movie and its dino-stars — see what I did there? — are everywhere.

But there’s one scene in particular that everyone seems to love, where star Chris Pratt jumps into a pen full of velociraptors to save his co-worker.

You know the one I’m talking about: Pratt stands there with his arms outstretched, showing a pack of trained raptors that he’s the boss and that they need to chill out. (Watch above if you're unfamiliar.)

Well, it turns out that scene resonated with some real-life zookeepers from around the world, as they’ve been posting pictures of themselves re-creating that ridiculously awesome scene with their own animals using the hashtag #JurassicZoo.

None of the photos, which the zookeepers posted to Instagram and Twitter, features any living, breathing raptors, which seems kind of lazy on the animal handlers’ parts, but one woman is seen posing in front of a flock of pigeons, which are related to dinosaurs. So I guess that counts.

Anyway, the pictures are hilariously awesome and definitely worth checking out.

As an aside, here’s a completely amazing picture of Chris Pratt riding a T. rex posted by Marvel’s Kevin Feige, congratulating the Jurassic World team for dethroning The Avengers as the movie with the largest opening weekend in history.

God, I love the Internet.
