How To Send Snapchats With AWESOME GIANT EMOJI
A December update to the iOS Snapchat app has added a cornucopia of awesome features you may have missed, including replay capabilities, new filters, and — are you sitting down? — BIG FAT EMOJI THAT YOU CAN ADD TO YOUR PHOTOS.
First, the non-emoji stuff: A feature named Replay allows you to re-watch one snap every 24 hours, more proof that Snapchat’s whole ephemeral six-second photo-message schtick is officially evolving.
Also, filters have become more nuanced and easier to access. You can now turn on a “smart” filter (powered by the National Enquirer of weather services, The Weather Channel), which adds information like speed, time, and temperature to your images. So, if want to snap-brag about vacationing in Miami in January, a paradisiacal snapshot of the ocean with a giant “77°” across the screen would make it that much more gloaty.
Ready to use all of these treats? Below, a comprehensive guide to navigating Snapchat’s December update:
How to Turn Features On and Off
1. Open Snapchat.
2. Click the square icon at the bottom left hand corner.
3. Select the tool icon in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
4. Now you’re in the Settings section of the app. Scroll down to “Additional Services” and select “Manage.”
6. Scroll through and decide which features you want to enable.
