Smart temporary tattoos
These tattoos are more than just a form of artistic expression.
DuoSkin, the result of a collaboration between the MIT Media Lab and Microsoft Research
is a smart temporary tattoo that lets the user do things like control their smartphones.
The tattoos are composed of gold leaf and a set of tiny electronics. So far, there are three different classes of the tattoos:
Input- Functions as a track pad or interface to control your smartphone
Output- Factors such as your mood or temperature will be shown through changes in the tattoo Communication- Enables data to be read directly off of your body
The developers hope to expand the functionality of the tattoos.
They also hope to make it easy to design your own so you can express yourself however you choose. Temporarily.
