Samsung’s offering a free 4K TV with its new AI laptop — and it won’t last long

Many PC makers announced new laptops featuring AI tricks this week, and Samsung’s looking to stand out by throwing in free TVs (while supplies last). Yes, the Memorial Day sales weekend is starting early, as Samsung joins the deals frenzy with an offer to get you to go home with a Galaxy Book 4 Edge laptop, one of the new Copilot+ PCs announced earlier this week.

So, if you preorder a Galaxy Book 4 Edge, which is expected to ship in mid-June, Samsung will just give you its 50-inch Class Crystal UHD DU7200 TV as a treat (which I’m sure you’ve earned). Just like the new Surface Laptop (2024), the Galaxy Book 4 Edge is optimized to work with Windows 11’s new deeply rooted AI models.

Samsung's latest Windows laptop will use new AI tricks for creating content and figuring out what you were doing, and getting a free 50-inch TV with your purchase makes this the kind of deal that won't last.


In the battle for the title of best laptop, these new Copilot+ PCs look like the Windows world’s best chance at unseating the MacBook Air M3, our current top pick. The Galaxy Book 4 Edge, just like the new Surface Pro and Surface Laptop, runs on an Arm-based Snapdragon X Elite processor for highly improved power efficiency. In a press release, Samsung claims this laptop will offer up to 22 hours of video playback time — the same amount Microsoft quoted for the Surface Laptop. This laptop is sold in 14-inch and 16-inch models that sport 3K AMOLED displays and pack 16GB of memory and at least 512GB of storage.

Copilot+ PCs feature a few interesting features that raise eyebrows and questions, such as Recall, which lets you remember that thing you did in the past. Those having language barrier issues will likely perk up at the sight of Live Captions, which will provide translation on video calls and other content.

While we haven’t tested the 4K 50-inch Class Crystal DU7200 TV that Samsung’s giving away, it definitely looks like a great secondary or tertiary screen to add to your home. It offers upscaling for improving picture clarity on non-4K content, and a wide color spectrum with Samsung’s PurColor tech. So, we wouldn’t claim it’s gonna take a spot in the pantheon of the best TVs, but it should definitely be a nice pickup. This isn’t the first time Samsung’s offered such a deal, as it recently gave away similar TVs when you bought popular models like The Frame.
