Sacramento-area drive-in theater gets new projectors

(FOX40.COM) — The longest-running drive-in theater in the Sacramento area recently got an upgrade.

The West Wind Sacramento 6 Drive-In, located along Highway 50 just outside the city limits of Rancho Cordova, upgraded two of its six screens with new laser projectors.

The company said the new projectors are brighter and more energy efficient.

The theater is located at 9616 Oates Drive in the community of La Riviera.

West Wind operates three drive-ins in California, two in Nevada and one in Arizona.

According to the company, those six theaters are enough to constitute the largest drive-in theater chain in the country.
