Tony Hawk skates the world’s first horizontal loop

Remember all the crazy (and physically impossible) skating moves you used to love doing in the old Tony Hawk Pro Skater games? Well Tony Hawk himself recently tried to pull a similarly spectacular stunt of his own in a recent ad for the Sony Action Cam when he tried to successfully navigate the world’s first horizontal loop.

To give us a first-person view of what this is like, Hawk predictably wore the Action Cam while attempting the trick. Hawk tries to execute it by skating over the top of the loop and then skating horizontally downward. The trickiest part, comes when it’s time to stick the landing, as Hawk repeatedly wipes out before finally getting it right. This goes to show that even a legendary skateboarder has trouble learning challenging new tricks.
