Tenorshare Android Data Recovery review

Tenorshare Android Data Recovery can recover lost, deleted, and corrupted data from Android devices connected to your Windows PC. It's compatible with Android 2.3 (and earlier) up to the latest 5.0. It can recover pictures and video, contacts, text messages, and even Android system files lost due to rooting, resetting, and more.

Pros

Better for certain versions: Tenorshare works in Android versions, ranging from 1.5 to 5, but will perform better in versions 2.3 and above.

Specialized: Tenorshare's layout, tools, and options are optimized for Android, not just Android-capable. Other tools can recover data and partitions in Android but may not be as capable when it comes to restoring files lost or damaged due to rooting or other causes.

Support: A wizard walks you through the three easy steps for connecting your device and initiating a scan. A full Help file answers most questions, and additional support is available.

Cons

Rooting requirement: Some devices may need to be rooted to recover some data types: Check your device and version's requirements.

Not free: Freeware that also recovers data from Android (and iOS) devices is available. EaseUS, for example, has several options.

Bottom Line

Tenorshare Android Data Recovery is inexpensive compared to professional data recovery services. It may be a genuine bargain if it solves your problem (and ends aggravation and frustration) as quickly as its trial version promises.

Editors' note: This is a review of the trial version of Tenorshare Android Data Recovery 4.0.
