AV Voice Changer review

AV Voice Changer takes the audio from your microphone, allows you to make changes to it, and then send it to another program in real-time. While the idea behind it is great, this particular app struggles to make the process seamless and straightforward.

Pros

A plethora of options: Whether you need a voice changer, comparator, equalizer, or recorder, AV Voice Changer has you covered. The most essential features are located in the main window while the others open as optional floating panes on your desktop.

Fast and reliable: During our tests, the software proved to be quick and stable. We experienced no lag or crashes whatsoever.

Advanced audio capture: In addition to recording audio from your microphone, the software also allows you to use sounds generated by other apps as audio input.

Cons

Outdated interface: The app looks dated. From the cramped design to the Windows 98-style cursor in the default theme, this software will almost certainly make you think of the days when your computer was a large beige box.

Steep learning curve: For a software that is supposed to be fun, there is a surprisingly steep learning curve to it, which is only amplified by the confusing layout choices made by the designers.

Bottom Line

You'll likely be put off by AV Voice Changer's outdated interface and the amount of effort it takes to learn how to use it. If you're looking for an app that can alter your voice, we don't recommend this particular application.

Editors' note: This is a review of the trial version of AV Voice Changer 7.0.61.
