When it comes to electronics add-ons such as “HDMI cables, HDTV mounts, and various cables for your electronic components,” Rather Be Shopping says Amazon really delivers the goods. In particular, the blog points out that “these days you can score a quality Amazon Basics High-Speed HDMI Cable for only $5.49 compared to a similar cable at Costco for $14.99.” And as always, Amazon is very good at selling high-visibility items at a discount to give people the impression that it always has the lowest prices. So if any kind of gadget is big in the news, you should definitely seek it out on Amazon because there’s a good change it’s selling for a discount.

On the worst things to buy list, Rather Be Shopping has found that buying hardware and tools from Amazon is rarely the best deal and that Lowe’s and Home Depot often sell such products for significantly less money.
