Allmyapps review

Allmyapps makes it easy to browse, download, and manage all kinds of Windows applications, and not just premium software but lots of freeware favorites, too. This freeware's Web tools can monitor, update, and back up your software to the Cloud.

Pros

Update checker: Forgetting to update apps isn't a problem with Allmyapps. It found nine manual updates on our first pass. It can launch and uninstall apps, too.

Cloud backup: Backing up programs to the Cloud makes them easy to reinstall without a full restore from your primary backup.

Freeware favorites: The Staff Picks, Hot Apps, and PC Essentials lists recommend some of our favorite freeware, like CCleaner, VLC Media Player, Foobar2000, Foxit Reader, and K-Lite Codec Pack. Many more are listed under categories, ranging from entertainment to development.

Cons

Account required: A free account is required to use Web-based tools and must be manually deleted from the Settings to thoroughly remove Allmyapps.

Preselected options: You must manually deselect the default options to automatically install supported apps and start Allmyapps on Windows. We prefer to select such options during setup.

Pop-up ads: Pop-up ads were the typical minor nuisance they always are.

Bottom Line

Allmyapps lists a lot of great freeware. Its Web tools and Cloud backup are useful, too, though we prefer a full backup solution. But Allmyapps takes an interesting direction in managing Windows apps.
