RNDM Company Eyewear Debuts New Goggles And Glasses After Three Years Of Preparation

Bas Van Steenbergen didn't necessarily set out to try and craft the best mountain biking goggles and glasses on the market. But, some time without an eyewear sponsor ended up being a perfect opportunity to try making a "random company," if you will.

RNDM Company was born from a file on Bas's computer titled "Random Company" filed with all of his ideas for potential apparel or gear brands within mountain biking. Over time he landed on eyewear and thus RNDM was born.

Bas spent around three years developing the company and with not having an eyewear sponsor for that time, was able to test as many other products out there as he could to try and hone in on what he wanted for his own project.

"Having been very much a side project for the last two to three years, gave me the opportunity to be involved in every aspect of the business from creating the website, working with the manufacturers ensuring the goggles are exactly how I want them, to digging and riding for the release video," Bas said in a brief statement. "I think taking my time with this has been a crucial part in making this business happen and I am so stoked that I finally get to share this with everybody."

The glasses and goggles are geared toward all disciplines of the sport from BMX to downhill and really, everything in between. Bas not only wanted to make this company easy on the eyes, he also envisioned it as a way to give back to the mountain bike community. By giving back he means supporting some "incredible athletes" and working on some new and unique video projects.

The site goes live on Monday, April 29th, so get these goggles while they're hot. It's been quite a while since someone new has jumped into the eyewear game in mountain biking, so seeing these new offerings is exciting, to say the least.
