Mirror, mirror on the wall: How can I clean up those blemishes on my chin?

In a few months, this may very well be something you can consult a mirror for.

Panasonic announced the release of a new virtual mirror during an event Monday morning at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Look into it, and it’ll automatically analyze your skin type and any problem areas (for example, dry or oily skin). It’ll then offer suggestions for how to cover those spots up, in addition to treatment plans.

The mirror isnt just a critical eye, though. It also has the ability to preview specific makeup looks on your face, similar to technology like LOreals Makeup Genius app. A clutch feature for anyone who’s wary of the bacteria-infested makeup samples you might find at Sephora.

Though Panasonic didn’t offer a release date for the mirror, it’ll likely be sold to cosmetic departments and makeup companies that will work with the company to program in their particular shades of lipstick and eye shadow. So look for this magical surface in your local Macy’s Lancome counter sometime soon.
