Nintendo Switch successor to come within this fiscal year

GHENT, WV (WVNS) – It is the best news for Nintendo fans that has only been rumored to be happening about a million times since the Switch was announced – there’s finally going to be a new system!
This time the allegations about the new system do not stem from randomly bought trademarks or a blurred image going around the internet! Nope! This time we Nintendo fans have Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa himself posting about the news on social media.

In a post on the official Nintendo X/Twitter account, Furukawa posted, “We will make an announcement about the successor to Nintendo Switch within this fiscal year. It will have been over nine years since we announced the existence of Nintendo Switch back in March 2015. We will be holding a Nintendo Direct this June regarding the Nintendo Switch software lineup for the latter half of 2024, but please be aware that there will be no mention of the Nintendo Switch successor during that presentation.”
Of note is that the fiscal year runs until March 2025 for Nintendo, meaning we could be waiting until 2025 for any news.
