Netflix is bringing back ‘Mythbusters’ stars for a brand new series

Netflix has approved a brand new series, and this time around we’re looking at an unscripted original reality TV show that might be similar to Discovery’s extremely popular Mythbusters series. It’s not a Mythbusters successor, but rather a spin off. The 'build team' from the original show and the company that produced the original Mythbusters series are working on the series. That's very exciting, as the implications are pretty clear.

According to Deadline, Kari Byron, Tory Belleci, and Grant Imahara are working with Beyond Productions on the show. Called the White Rabbit Project, the show is set to premiere globally on December 9th.

The show will be based on science, as the three stars will reportedly use their mythbusting skills to chase the white rabbit. “In the Netflix series, the three head down the rabbit hole to investigate weird and wonderful events from pop culture, science, and history,” Deadline notes. “Under their microscope are topics as diverse as jailbreaks, superpower technology, heists and crazy world war two weapons. In each episode, the hosts immerse themselves in experiments, builds, and tests as they sleuth the truth behind these and other well Googled themes.”

Mythbusters, meanwhile, aired its final episode on March 5th. Fans of the series will soon be able to watch Byron, Belleci, and Imahara put their skills to the test in new exciting scenarios. Filming started back in mid-May, according to Byron and Imahara's Twitter feeds.
