“Like the screw cap, for example, a regular orange juice carton and creating inspiration from a Japanese cap and creating this new Citrus Hill with a screw cap dispensing, so that’s ease of use for consumers,” Matthew Dingee, MSU Collective for NewProductWorks curator said.

Daum said a lot of there’s a good chance the packages we see are designed by an MSU alum, as MSU graduates make up 40 percent of the industry workforce.

“Starbucks in particular; most of people are familiar with these strawless lid concept that actually was designed by an MSU alumni from our from our program,” Daum said.

For this collection, industry professionals and MSU students can benefit from the decades of curation and research related to the history of packaging, marketing, and advertising.
