Mercedes-Benz Unveils Updated S-Class for 2024

Mercedes-Benz has announced significant updates to its flagship S-Class model for the upcoming 2024 model year, available for order starting late April 2024. The luxury sedan will debut with two new exterior colors, verde silver metallic and velvet brown metallic, and enhanced comfort features like upgraded front head restraints.

The 2024 S-Class introduces the latest Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) system, enhanced for greater interactivity and integration of RIDEVU, a new streaming service from Sony Pictures Entertainment that allows for in-car streaming of premium content.

A notable advancement in the S-Class lineup is the integration of the Automatic Lane Change (ALC) function. This factory-installed feature represents an intelligent progression in Mercedes-Benz's SAE Level 2 driving assistance systems, primarily supporting lane changes on motorway-like roads.

For those seeking the utmost in safety and luxury, the S-Class's special-protection version, the S 680 GUARD 4MATIC, also receives all 2024 updates. It offers the highest civilian vehicle protection (VPAM VR10), safeguarding against ballistic impacts and explosives.

The customization potential for the 2024 S-Class is extensive, thanks to the Mercedes-Benz MANUFAKTUR program. This offers a range of personalization options, from unique paint finishes to bespoke interior designs, all handcrafted at the Mercedes-Benz facility in Sindelfingen, Germany.

Factory 56, the birthplace of the S-Class and other models like the Mercedes-Maybach and EQS, highlights Mercedes-Benz's commitment to efficient, flexible, and digitalized car manufacturing. This facility sets a benchmark for future production strategies at Mercedes-Benz, focusing on digital integration and providing optimal support for its skilled workforce.

Mercedes-Benz emphasizes that while the updated S-Class comes with enhanced driving assistance systems, these do not substitute for driver attention and responsibility, and users should always adhere to operating instructions and system limitations.
