Make Any Image 3D With This Nifty Google Chrome App
Here’s a Chrome extension that popped out at us: It’s called 3Dnator and it can convert almost any image within your Chrome browser to a stereoscopic, 3D version. The resulting 3D images can then be viewed with a pair of classic red and blue 3D glasses (like these).
Just install the 3Dnator plug-in from the Chrome web store, then turn it on by clicking the 3Dnator button that’s been placed in your Chrome extension tray. Now any compatible image from any site you’re viewing will render as 3D. (Sadly, animated GIFs are not compatible). You can also right click (or control-click) an image and select “3Dnator!” from the popup menu to open a 3D version in a new window.
Sure, 3D may have jumped the shark a while back (probably sometime around the release of the movie Shark Night 3D, actually), but this app is free, and you get to 3D-ify anything of your choosing. Get it poppin’.
