KC Water restores internet and phone payments after network outage

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — KC Water’s phone and internet payment systems have been restored after computer systems suffered a network outage a few weeks ago.

All customers will have a grace period for payments due on or between May 4 and May 31. In person drop off and mail options are still available.

Paper bills will be sent to all customers with a prepaid return envelope. If you have any questions about your bill, you can call 816-513-1313.

The network outage affected customers in other ways outside of the billing, too. That included seeking permits.

Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas said late fees for Kansas City water bills would be waived as of May 6.
