GeekBench finally revealed some of the specs of the tablet, which were not known until now. On Wednesday, both the iPad Pro 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch were tested on the benchmarking site, revealing that the devices have 4GB RAM, along with an Apple A10X processor clocked at 2.38 GHz, which means it has a very powerful ARM processor architecture, and might be more performance-efficient than 6GB and 8GB phones making their way to the market. The device also had an impressive score of 3915 in single-core tests and 9387 in multi-core tests.

According to BareFeats, another benchmarking site, chances are that the new tablet might even outperform the Apple MacBook Pro in some CPU and GPU circuits, which means that it could actually give users PC-like processing power.

The iPad Pro range tablets for 2017 might be the most premium consumer tablets that are currently available in the market. The new tablet is equipped with a display which runs at 120Hz – which means it has a refresh rate of 120 per second that enables smooth operation and clear viewing. If you are someone who likes a well-lit display, it is advisable to go for the iPad Pro 10.5-inch tablet instead of the 12.9-inch one, since it has a better display density.

Apple’s stylus – the Apple Pencil is also more responsive on the new display and might provide users the feel of a paper-pencil feel. The device also offers a 12-megapixel camera with a Sapphire lens cover, a hybrid IR filter, and a true tone flash.

Apple also announced the ARkit, to help developers build augmented reality experiences on Apple devices, including the new iPad Pro series tablets. This means that the new iPad Pros will offer a better consumer experience along with more features once the iOS 11 is launched, likely around September.

The iPad will also have a 'files app' which will ensure that you will have at least partial file access on the tablet — something not available on earlier iterations of the device. Moreover, the new operating system will have a multi-tasking system file management along with new options for the Apple Pencil.

While the new iPad Pro tablets will actually have some impressive hardware, to make the best use of the tablet and actually get the premium experience out of the $650 device, users will have to wait for the software update. The tablet’s biggest rival remains Apple’s $329 iPad which offers some of the features of high-end tablets at half the price.
