The wait for more "Invincible" is almost over with the second batch of season 2 episodes due to commence with episode 5 on Thursday, March 14, 2024.
"Invincible" is always full of surprises, but the trailer (available below) for the second half of season 2 dropped back in February and gave us a sneak peak at what to expect in the final four episodes.
And it looks like we have a lot to look forward to – from supervillains uniting the heroes of Earth, alien parasites, Mark Grayson (aka Invincible) going back into space and even a brutal interrogation of Omni-Man by the Viltrumite Empire, it looks to be a jam packed second half.
There's even a tease that one of our heroes may not make it to the end of the season. The trailer makes it seem like it will even be Invincible himself, and while that's unlikely, you cannot assume anything when it comes to this hyper-violent superhero show.
Created by Robert Kirkman of "The Walking Dead" fame, "Invincible" had been around as a comic book for a while, and when the show arrived, for many of us with superhero fatigue, it was a breath of fresh air. "Invincible" may seem like your traditional superhero animated adventure at first glance — we promise it's not.
While Amazon Prime Video has some other unorthodox comic book adaptions in "The Boys" and "Gen V," "Invincible" is not a satirical take on superheroes in the same way as those series are, though admittedly it may be just as violent. So don't feel like you've seen this story before if you watched Amazon's other super stories. Trust us, this one is definitely worth watching.
