Funded by a federal grant, the kiosks will help new applicants to go through the fraud-detection system for those without access to a computer or smartphone.

“These kiosks are a lifeline for folks who don’t have internet access or who need a little extra help navigating online systems,” Secretary Nancy Walker said. “This is another way the Department is making identity verification accessible for underserved populations — or for someone who simply wants in-person assistance.”

They are free to use and are “designed to enhance and improve the accessibility of the identity verification process.”

Applicants can bring their physical documents to the kiosks and all locations with kiosks will have trained personnel on site.

They have rolled out to 17 CareerLink locations and 29 UPS locations so far. By July, they will be in all CareerLink locations.
