How Your Smartphone Saves You Money on Hotels
LAS VEGAS — At CES this year, David Pogue sat down with Adam Goldstein, the founder and CEO of the fantastic travel site Hipmunk. If you haven’t used it, we at Yahoo Tech strongly recommend it. There is no better expert on travel tips and pricing than Goldstein. He shared a few tips, as you can see in the video above. In particular, he says that for hotels, you can get the best prices if you book late and on your smartphone.

Goldstein also mentioned a few reasons people hate the airlines so much. “[They] give people less and less … but then they’ll give you more legroom, for a fee.” Yet, after getting bailed out by the government, and a spate of recent airline mergers, and low gas prices on top of that, “These days, they are making so much money.”
