How to Turn Your iPhone into a Working Level

In all my years of owning an iPhone, I had never once used the Compass app. That is, until I recently discovered that it had a hidden feature that could help me with my home decorating.

Buried on the second page of the Compass app is a level. And, yes, you do currently have the Compass app on your phone: Apple automatically includes it as an un-deletable utility in your app collection.

Here’s how you access it:

1. Make sure you have iOS 7, and then open up your Compass app.

2. The compass feature will pop up. Swipe left.

3. And there’s your level. Isn’t it marvelous?

Now go fix that mirror in your living room. It’s been crooked for months.
