How to Pick Your Quick Action Tiles in Windows 10

The Action Center is one of the best new features of Windows 10. That’s where you can connect to Wi-Fi, change your screen’s brightness, turn Bluetooth on or off, tell your machine when to quit nagging you, and change all the other settings that were buried in three different places inside Windows 8.

Getting to it is supereasy, too: You open it by pressing Windows Key+A or clicking the button in the lower right corner that looks like a dialog balloon from a comic book.

Notifications appear at the top, while quick actions are found in the buttons below. Most of these are simple toggles — tap once to turn them on, again to turn them off.

You can collapse Quick Actions to make more room for notifications. But what’s even cooler is that you can pick four of them that remain visible at all times.

Go to All Settings and tap System, then Notifications & actions. You’ll see icons representing the four Quick Actions that are visible along the top row when it’s collapsed. Tap each icon to choose which setting you want to appear in that location. Close the Notifications & actions window to save your settings.

Next time you go into the Action Center, the four settings you chose will appear along the bottom of the pane. Simple, eh?

Now you know where all the action is.
