How to Get Your Fitbit to Display the Time With a Flick of Your Wrist

If you own a Fitbit Charge or Charge HR, you already know what an amazing job your wristband does of tracking your activity, sleep, and heart rate (if you have the HR model).

But you also know that its little screen stays dark until you press the button on the side. That saves on battery power, but it’s a pain if you’re carrying groceries or your hands are otherwise occupied.

Fortunately, there’s an option buried in the phone app called Show Clock. (To find it, tap Tap Account, then Charge HR, then Quick View.) It makes the time appear on your band when you rotate your wrist—as though checking your watch!

Why isn’t that option on from the beginning? Don’t know—but now you know how to fix it.
