Here Is Your State's Most Popular Christmas Cookie According to Google
Google Trend Data has revealed which Christmas cookies are the most popular for 2022, and found that sugar cookies, gingerbread, and peanut butter blossoms win as the overall top picks.
The data report revealed which cookies are the most popular by state, using analytics tools to discern the most common cookie searched on Google from December 3 through December 9.

Cookies change in popularity from year to year, Jenny Lee, lead Google Trends analyst, told Axios, adding that “Even though Christmas Cookies remain a yearly constant, the types of cookies people search for change every year and that is what makes these results so interesting.”

Kolaczki Cookies (otherwise known as Polish Christmas Cookies)
Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter – softened and at room temperature
8 oz. Full Fat Cream Cheese – softened
1/4 tsp vanilla extract – other extracts can be used if you prefer
1/2 tsp kosher salt
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
Jam – Raspberry or flavor of your choice
Powdered Sugar
Instructions:
Mix butter and cream cheese in a large bowl until light and fluffy then stir in vanilla extract and salt
Slowly add flour until the dough is thick and has a sticky texture
Transfer the dough to parchment paper and flatten until it is 1/2 inch thick
Chill in the refrigerator for 45 minutes
Dust your work surface with liberal amounts of powdered sugar and cut the dough into four equal sections and dust each with more powdered sugar
Roll each piece until they’re 1/4 inch thick and cut into 2x2 inch squares
Spread 1 tsp of filling in the center of each square from one corner to another
Dab water on one of the corners without the filling and seal with the other corner
Baked for 14-18 minutes at 350 degrees F until they’re slightly golden brown
