What happens when you mix whipped cream with liquid nitrogen

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream. But what if there was a kind of ice cream that could actually make you scream? The CrazyRussianHacker recently tried to make a unique brand of homemade ice cream by mixing whipped cream with liquid nitrogen. While this is not something that everyone should try for themselves at home, it's definitely an interesting way to make ice cream much more quickly than through the tedious process you normally have to go through when making it.

FROM EARLIER: Watch: John Oliver can’t believe we fall for so many stupid scientific studies

For those of you who don’t know your science, nitrogen has to be very cold before it becomes a liquid — it has a boiling point of −321 °F and a freezing point of −346 °F, so any liquid nitrogen you encounter will be within that temperature range.

This also means that dunking whipped cream in liquid nitrogen will freeze it within seconds. In fact, the newly made ice cream is so cold that nitrogen vapors will come pouring out of your mouth after you swallow it.

Check out the whole video below and remember: This is probably not something you should try for yourself at home.
