Game your way through a personality test with ‘Refind Self: The Personality Test Game’
GHENT, WV (WVNS) – Nintendo hosted an indie game showcase on Wednesday, April 18, 2024 with information being released about a slew of upcoming titles. Among these titles was one called Refind Self: The Personality Test Game.
The game offers something that many games only offer the illusion of: choices that matter. Many gamers know all too well about games where they have eagerly selected an option that they thought would alter the course of their protagonist just to have the ending remain unyielding and identical in all their runs no matter what choice was made.
This illusion of choice has frustrated many gamers over the years, but Refind Self, which acts as a personality test, promises a bit different of an experience.

The player takes on the role of an android whose creator has passed away, leaving them with questions about their purpose in the world; something many people can relate to in their actual lives.
During the showcase, the game was said to take into account every choice the player would make throughout their gameplay; every dialogue option and every action taken. Despite the choices all mattering in their own right, the title was also sure to emphasize that there are no wrong choices.
As you make your way through the game, you will discover the future that your late creator wanted you to experience and, ultimately, you will be given a personality type at the end of the game.
The game has 23 personality types that players can be categorized into based on their choices including adventurer, researcher, artisan, traveler, butler, leader, clown, sage, hero, merchant, and more. Each personality type has a small synopsis about what each means and what traits each has. You can also share your results with others and compare personality types.
The game will be launching in the summer of 2024 as a timed console exclusive for the Nintendo Switch.
