‘Game of Thrones’ is once again the most pirated show of the year
Surprising absolutely no one, Game of Thrones has once again taken the top honor in the yearly pirated TV show rankings. Over the weekend, TorrentFreak compiled a list of the most frequently pirated shows throughout 2015, and despite the fact that there are network shows with bigger audiences than Game of Thrones, it’s still at the top of the list.

In the list below, you can see the top 10 most pirated shows of 2015, along with the estimated number of illegal downloads performed throughout the year. The drops between 3 through 10 are relatively consistent, but Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead blow every other show out of the water.
Game of Thrones — 14,400,000 downloads
The Walking Dead — 6,900,000 downloads
The Big Bang Theory — 4,400,000 downloads
Arrow — 3,900,000 downloads
The Flash — 3,600,000 downloads
Mr. Robot — 3,500,000 downloads
Vikings — 3,300,000 downloads
Supergirl — 3,000,000 downloads
The Blacklist — 2,900,000 downloads
Suits — 2,600,000 downloads
As TorrentFreak notes, these numbers prove that TV show piracy isn’t show any signs of declining. In fact, three of the shows in the list above actually receive more torrent downloads than actual viewers. And considering how anxious everyone is to discover the fate of Jon Snow, this trend will almost certainly continue for the HBO series next year.
It’s also worth noting that TorrentFreak’s list does not include online streaming or downloads from file-hosting services, so the real piracy numbers are even higher than what you see above.
