Fresh MacBooks are coming in late October, according to new report
Earlier this month, just days after Apple unveiled the iPhone 7 and the Apple Watch Series 2 on stage in San Francisco, a curious fan sent an email to Tim Cook asking whether or not the company was moving away from the Mac line. "I love the Mac and we are very committed to it," Cook responded. "Stay tuned."
If the latest reports are true, we won't have to stay tuned much longer.

According to MacRumors, Apple is "moving rapidly toward a launch of the new MacBook Pro models, with the company's current development work on macOS 10.2.1 focused largely on preparing the operating system to support the updated hardware's new features." Those features are rumored to include Touch ID support, an OLED touch bar above the keyboard and a more powerful GPU from AMD.
Based on what MacRumors has heard, Apple will roll out one final beta of the macOS 10.2.1 software early next week. By the end of next week, Apple hopes to have finalized the software ahead of the upcoming hardware launch.
Providing everything goes according to plan, Apple could begin shipping the latest round of MacBook Pro models by "the second half of October."
As for the rumors regarding the MacBook Air, iMac, Mac Pro and Mac mini, MacRumors hasn't heard anything about potential release dates for any of those products. For now, we're going to have to be satisfied with a new MacBook Pro.
