After penning a deal with Google, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is reportedly in talks with Uber, too.

FCA is exploring a driverless car partnership with Uber, anonymous sources close to the matter told Bloomberg.

Since no agreements have been reached, and Uber is reportedly discussing partnerships simultaneously with other carmakers, the FCA deal could still crumble.

Either way, it seems FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne isn't done seeking out companies to partner with. Notably, both Ford and GM declined FCA's offers to team up. Not long after, Marchionne expressed interest in assisting Apple Car assembly.

If FCA and Uber were to strike a deal, it would be the second for the ride-hailing giant. In March, Toyota announced it had made an undisclosed investment in Uber.

So, what could FCA offer that Toyota can't? Certainly not hybrids or minivans — Toyota owns those markets. Maybe Uber wants some autonomous 700-horsepower Jeep Wranglers for its fleet?
