Elon Musk’s plan to send 1 million earthlings to Mars
Elon Musk recently shared SpaceX’s plan to colonize Mars by way of an Interplanetary Transport System.
Three separate vehicles would transport at least 100 people each to Mars and then return for more passengers.
According to Musk’s calculations, SpaceX could potentially send 1 million earthlings to Mars in as few as 40 to 100 years.
While humanity’s existence as a dual-planet species may seem far-fetched now with Musk’s vision and SpaceX’s technology, some Earth dwellers may very well become Martians in the not-so-distant future.
