After-Christmas sales: Save on laptops, TVs, video games, and more

With Christmas officially ending, you may feel as if you missed out on the great deals that happened in the past few weeks leading up to it, and potentially even the deals from last month during Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Luckily, there are still a lot of great deals out there, especially as retailers try to get rid of old stock before the year finishes, and that means that there are pretty much deals on everything. So, if you’re looking for a new TV, laptop, pair of headphones, or even some small appliances, you’ll be happy to know there’s probably a deal out there for you.
To that end, we’ve scoured all the big retailers and collected some of our favorite after-Christmas sales that are left so that you don’t have to, so be sure to click through to all the deals below you find interesting. Also, remember that certain retailers offer exclusive end-of-year deals for members, such as My Best Buy Plus or Total, so it’s the perfect time to pick up a membership to get some excellent deals.
Best After-Christmas TV Deals
Even though Christmas is over, that doesn’t mean you can’t make one of the most significant upgrades to your home theatre on the cheap. There are still a lot of excellent TV deals out there, especially if you’re looking for a large-screen TV with mid-range prices. If not, there are quite a few great deals in the lower brackets that are great for a budget setup or a bedroom TV. We’re also quite happy to see some high-end TVs going on significant sales, like LG’s A2 Series, which has an OLED screen.

If you’re an Apple fan, then you’re in luck because many of its products have post-Christmass discounts, so you’ll find many great Apple deals. Tablets are becoming an important part of our daily lives and save you the trouble of having a laptop that can be bulky. Luckily, there are still a lot of great tablet deals, even after all the Christmas sales, so you’re a little bit spoilt for choice. On the lower end, there are a few great tablets you can get in the $100-150 range from Samsung and Lenovo, whereas if you want something higher end, you can certainly grab one of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S8 or S9 tablets, both of which are on sale. As for Apple users, don’t worry; you aren’t left out, and there’s a pretty solid deal on an iPad 9 you can take advantage of.

There aren’t as many deals on smartphones as we’d like to see, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get some great phone deals, especially if you’re looking for something a bit more budget-friendly. For example, the OnePlus Nord N30 and Moto G Play are both phones you can grab for less than $150, and if you’re looking for something that folds on the cheap, the Motorola Razr is on sale for $500. Actually, quite a few foldable phones are on sale, including the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the OnePlus Open, so you’re a little bit spoilt for choice when it comes to that.

There’s always a big market for great laptop deals, and we’re happy to say that there are a lot of deals available across several brands and types. For example, if you’re looking for laptops that are lightweight and good options for work or school, the Dell XPS 13 and Inspiron 15 are both on sale for pretty good prices. A bit more expensive is the Yoga 7, but it’s an excellent 2-in-1 laptop if you want something like that, and if you’re an Apple user, then you’ll be happy to see a couple of great MacBook deals. For the gamers out there, we’ve seen quite a few excellent gaming laptop deals from Dell and Acer, with graphics cards up to an RTX 4070. Sadly, there aren’t any great deals on RTX 4080 or more powerful cards worth grabbing.

An excellent soundbar is probably the second best upgrade you can do to your home theater, besides grabbing a better screen, so if you already have an awesome TV, then be sure to grab one of these excellent post-Christmas soundbar deals. Luckily, even though good soundbars tend to be expensive, we’re seeing some of the better ones with reasonably good price drops, especially from Vizio, which makes some of the best budget-oriented soundbars on the market. There are also a couple of choices from Samsung, JBL and Insignia, although it seems that, right now, Vizio is having the best sales going into the new year.

The average person living in the city will be familiar with how loud everything has gotten, especially if you commute often, which is why having a good pair of headphones is important. Sprucing up your home with some smart home devices can get you a bit closer to that future where everything in our homes is controlled automatically. Also, with so many things already existing within an ecosystem these days, there’s no reason you shouldn’t expand on it. For example, if you’re a fan of Google, then you can grab the Nest Hub 7, which can act as the perfect spot to control all your smart home gear, especially if it’s from Google. On the other hand, if you’re still struggling with old-school plugs and sockets, there’s a nice pack of smart plugs and smart light switches you can grab for pretty low prices. Closing out the year with some appliance deals is great because you can get quite a few of them for cheap and plug in any gaps you have in your kitchen. For example, while air fryers have become ubiquitous, you might need a bigger one or come to realize that a dual-basket air fryer would work well for you. Or, maybe you want to take up baking and grilling, and so an indoor oven or grill is a great way to do that while still staying within a reasonable budget.
