CES 2016 Roundup: Where the Wearables Were

Wearables were naturally a huge part of CES 2016, with announcements coming from Misfit, Fitbit, Samsung, and many others.

Misfit made a big splash with its new Ray wearable. The super-stylish fitness tracker can keep track of your activities and tell how much you’ve slept, without looking too much like a gadget.

Fitbit drew mixed reactions for its new Blaze combination fitness tracker/smartwatch. The wearable provides you with the usual array of fitness stats, can receive text message and call notifications, and coaches you through a handful of workouts.

Samsung also hit the wearables scene with a smart belt — the Welt — that lets you know when it’s time to stop chowing down. That’s right, this belt can tell when you should step away from the buffet.
