"Can We Meet Up At CES?"

"Can We Meet Up At CES?"

Hi David…Hope you had a great holiday!

Our company will be announcing some news soon. We’d be happy to meet with you at CES to share more details!

We’ll have a room at The Wynn and could meet you anytime between 1 and 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8.

How does that sound?

Amanda

Dear Amanda,

Frankly, it sounds terrible!

CES is North America’s largest trade show. 3,200 booths. 15 miles of aisles. 150,000 reporters and industry reps vying for your attention.

It is, therefore, the worst possible time for meetings! Everybody is completely swamped. Especially if what you want to do is just talk and not actually demonstrate a product or walk reviewers through it. And especially especially if you’re expecting reporters to stand in a 45-minute cab line to ride to a different hotel across town to have a meeting with you!

If we have one single moment free this week, we’ll be gasping for water or clutching at sleep.

I’d love to hear about whatever your news is—once this nightmare week is over.

Thanks for your understanding!
