Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Bruce Jenner, broke the world record Monday for fastest growing Twitter account of all time, reaching 1 million followers in four hours and three minutes.

Barack Obama set the previous record in May with his new account.

Jenner sent her first Tweet Monday morning at 9:17 a.m. PST — a bombshell reveal of her Vanity Fair cover, which contained her new name as well as her first photo following her transition — and reached 1 million followers at approximately 1:20 p.m. PST.

Within her first hour, Jenner had amassed 280,000 followers and the numbers quickly grew from there. “Caitlyn Jenner” began trending on Twitter just minutes after she joined.

“Since she joined, there have been over 1.5 million Tweets about Caitlyn Jenner, including an outpouring of support from users,” a rep for Twitter told The Hollywood Reporter, releasing the below graph which showcases the explosive conversation around @Caitlyn_Jenner on the social media platform.

Obama set the previous record in May 18, reaching 1 million followers in approximately 4.5 hours. Before Obama, the Guinness World Record had been held by Robert Downey Jr., who reached 1 million followers in 23 hours and 22 minutes in 2014.
