We love this to the moon and back.

Astronaut Buzz Aldrin celebrated a special anniversary recently − the second person to walk on the moon tweeted a photo more than 50 years after Apollo 11 made history, and it went viral. "#Apollo11 launch day, 54th anniversary. Steak and eggs today celebrating in style at home with my Anca."

The tweet, which reached close to 40 million views on Twitter as of Friday, July 21, was a nod to Aldrin's epic journey to the moon with Apollo 11 commander Neil Armstrong, the first person to walk on the moon, and command module pilot Michael Collins.

The photo shows Aldrin sporting a Kennedy Space Center commemorative T-shirt for the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 (which was July 20, 2019) and a hearty plate of steak and eggs and avocado. On July 16, 1969, Aldrin ate steak and eggs for breakfast hours before he, Armstrong and Collins blasted off from Kennedy Space Center atop a Saturn V rocket, through July 20, 1969, when the Eagle landed and Armstrong and Aldrin set foot on the moon. Aldrin moved back to the Space Coast, home of Kennedy Space Center, in January 2015. The photo also shows the pop culture icon wearing three watches, two on his left wrist and one on the right.
